I use this site to track and showcase my experimentations with poetry in English. I have been writing poems in Chinese and ancient Chinese (Wenyan) for four years till now, and I am deeply curious how translation, especially translation into different styles, would impact the effect of expression in poetry. Here, I document the translation effort of my own poems into English, and I try my best to incorporate different styles in different translations to test the effects.

I am new to English literature and poetry, and this is an ongoing project. Thanks to some reading and a little help from AI, I quickly familiarised myself with the styles and choice of wording of prominent poets who wrote in English. I will continue to learn, improve, and translate more.
